My Wife and I LOVE the Inspector Lynley Series as well as most all of the British Comedies, and Mysteries. The BIG difference as we see it is in the training of the Actors, and Actresses. Here in the States when you go to see a flick you see an American Actor portraying the role of such and such. In the case of the British Actors it would seem that they get into the roll so that you come away thinking/feeling, for example, I just saw an Inspector Lynley episode and he was portrayed by Nathaniel Parker.

I absolutely love this program!! I'm gutted that it's not on at the moment and could never understand how it didn't have a peak time airing. I think it was on at some ridiculously early time of the morning so I usually looked forward to watching it in the evening on the RTE Player on my laptop!! I think the latest series I watched was from 2006 so just wondering if there is a later series recorded cus I have to see more of it!!

I like the series very much and I'm waiting for a new film with the same actors.

I hope that the new Elisabeth George Book will be made into a film with Nat and Sharon. And also I hope, that DI Linley finally notice that DS Havers ist in Love with him. I will finally see a happy End. I love both. They are wunderful. Please not other persons in a new film.

I am just now reading "Careless in Red". I love the series and esp Sharon Small's performances.
