I love your website,I grew up in Amersfoort and left there in 1967 at 22,now living in San Antonio ,TX
I spent mane evenings and Sunday afternoons at De Grote Slok ! Zo gezellig was dat !
I love Mexico also,especially The State of Oaxaca,just great !

Hi Just happend to google Grote Slok and found your
website on Amersfoort. As my family the van Ramselaar's
own the Grote Slok I found it interesting that you show it
on this web site. My uncle Martinus Van Ramselaar was the
proprietor of The Grote Slok when I was a little girl and passed it on to his son. I was born in Rotterdam and grew
up in Amersfoort where my mom was born and raised, Maria van Ramselaar has a first stone laid when she was 20 yrs old in the Bloomendaal straat area . Not sure of the street name
right now but have a picture of it. Enjoyed seeing this.

Geniet van de webcam beelden. Hoop dat ie blijft werken, hij heeft nogal wat keuren.. Wanneer je meer wilt weten over je familie zou je eens kunnen gaan naar www.archiefeemland.nl daar zijn registers te doorzoeken en foto's van de lorentzstraat te zien uit de tijd dat je grootouders daar gewoon hebben.

I am one of many people in the USA named Ammerman. There is speculation that our name may have come from the city of Amersfoort. Our immigrant ancestor sailed from Amsterdam, to New Amsterdam, now New York, about 300 years ago, and lived in a settlement there, called Amersfoort, now Flatbush, New York.

Recently we visited Amersfort where my cousin Carola De Bruijn lives. It's a delightful place, very historical.I live in Australia, the only Spall/Zweers family who migrated here in 1956.
All of our relatives remain in Holland.

I am from Amersfoort and now live in the USA in New Mexico. My husband and I visited there last year and things have changed and very expensive, but that is everywhere. Very nice website and I enjoy the photos as well.

My Dutch ancestor was from Amersfoort and came to America in 1625 (Van Kouwenhoven). I visited Holland in 1998 and, although I enjoyed the whole country, Amersfoort is my favorite place.
