I support this action.
There is a very old Chinese teaching that goes like this: “Keep your knowledge warm, do not forget, you will make less mistakes, you can learn from it again and again.” In real live, I do not know any great or successful people who know little about culture and history. In fact they know it quite well, not only their own culture but also plenty about other cultures, and other countries’ history.
Digital knowledge infrastructure will eventually replace the other formats of infrastructure in world wide. I cannot imagine how it will be that, one day, a Chinese or an American will be teaching the Dutch about Dutch culture and Dutch history!
